Cressida has suspected on a few occasions that her husband, Lawrence, has had affairs but this time she's sure after he called her to let her know he would be staying over in one of the group of hotels belonging to his family and failed to end the call so Cressida heard him speak to a woman coming into his room. He only said 'good evening, Nina' but the tone of his voice made Cressida sure they're having an affair. The couple have one child, a teenage girl, who has gone out that stormy evening at 9m on a school night without telling her where she's going making Cressida even more anxious. Not only does Lawrence have the family business but he and his twin brother, Pierce, who died in an accident, set up Ferryman, an online business for all manner of luxurious goods. Cressida desperately wants to find out who Nina is and prove that she and Lawrence are having an affair so she can divorce him. She contacts Marissa, a woman she met in London and confides in her. Marissa's sister, Brioni, is a tech expert and software developer who is holidaying at the family home in Dublin so Marissa puts them in touch and they meet to discuss ways to get the proof Cressida needs. Meanwhile it appears that Lawrence is also involved with Kate, a member of his staff, and he's trying to push through a deal with a company that the board has already rejected. Remember My Name continues Sam Blake's expert touch with this genre of books. It only takes a few pages for readers to want to find out more about the characters and get drawn into the story.
