Cressida has suspected on a few occasions that her husband, Lawrence, has had affairs but this time she's sure after he called her to let her know he would be staying over in one of the group of hotels belonging to his family and failed to end the call so Cressida heard him speak to a woman coming into his room. The couple have one child, a teenage girl, who has gone out that stormy evening at 9m on a school night without telling her where she's going making Cressida even more anxious. Marissa's sister, Brioni, is a tech expert and software developer who is holidaying at the family home in Dublin so Marissa puts them in touch and they meet to discuss ways to get the proof Cressida needs. Meanwhile it appears that Lawrence is also involved with Kate, a member of his staff, and he's trying to push through a deal with a company that the board has already rejected.
