The title drew me in but the cover image doesn't seem to reflect the synopsis.
I usually love a good psychological thriller but the mention of bribery and blackmail in the synopsis makes this book sound more off-putting than appealing. The extract felt a bit average and it didn't manage to hold my attention. I can't say that I am desperate to read the rest of this book.
