I don't tend to read many books from the thriller genre but I found this a highly entertaining and gripping read.
Remember My Name follows Cressida, who suspects her husband of an affair and recruits security expert Brioni to gather evidence of his infidelity to use in divorce proceedings. Cressida's husband Laurence is a wealthy entrepreneur with power and contacts in high places, so Cressida is aware how carefully she needs to tread to avoid suspicion. Brioni uncovers more than they bargained for and discovers a web of deceit, secrets, blackmail and danger that Laurence is descending into.
I really liked the blend of professional danger and threat and the family drama that the plot balances so well. As a reader we are piecing the clues together at the same rate as Cressida and there were many unpredictable plot twists and outcomes that I didn't see coming. The character development was great and the pacing made it a book I did not want to put down and read very quickly. Based on my enjoyment of this book I want to read more by Sam Blake.
