With a contemporary and fresh approach, Remember My Name is a well-written and pacey thriller that follows a path laden with greed, blackmail, and deceit.

Led by strong female characters, it’s a solid crime book that takes many unexpected twists. The only thing that has stopped me from rating this book higher is that I prefer my thrillers to be more psychological rather than so business heavy, so I did find the start a little slow as it took a while to kick into action.

But this is only about personal preference as I tend to lose focus when the action revolves around money rather than more disturbing factors. And when characters are unlikeable, I want to still be drawn to them because of their mental instabilities, which is harder to do when characters are too selfish and self-indulgent to be more engaging.

The final few chapters of the book, however, really gripped my attention, and I think this would make a brilliant TV series as Blake has developed a really strong story. I will definitely be reading more by this author, especially as I see that she has written a few creepier books which I think will definitely be more to my taste.
