I had the pleasure of reading The Dark Room by Sam Blake previously and I loved the story and the writing style. I therefore had high hopes for this as well. The book certainly didn't disappoint.
I liked the book synopsis and was intrigued as to where the story would take you. Typical suburban problems start, wealthy business man always at work and wife begins to suspect an affair. Nothing too surprising but the book takes a suprising turn and tells the story from the wronged wife and the friend she hired to investigate her husband to gain a speedy divorce.
The main female characters are the main focus as we hear from their perspective and they definitely live up to the image of the strong female lead. The story is clever as it doesn't rely on the domestic area as the business side are also delved into.
At times the book does get a little confusing as it jumps around but worth sticking with it as it is a great story.
