This book was gripping and full of suspense from the first page, and increasingly hard to put down.

Cressida is married and believes her husband is having an affair, she overhears a conversation between him and a woman. She asks an acquaintance, Briony, for help. Both very strong female protagonists, their characters are brought to life by the author. It is set in Ireland during, the 2020's with frequent references to the pandemic and the effects of lockdown to explain Briony's presence.

But from this point the storyline becomes even more twisted an convoluted as they try and identify the woman, and dead bodies start to appear, and even disappear just as quickly, all adding to the suspense.

This is the first novel I have read by the author, Sam Blake, but I believe it is her second so will be eagerly tracking down and reading her first soon.
