I love thrillers and I was attracted by the cover of this book in the first place. This was my first novel by Sam Blake and I have found it rather interesting and quitr well written. The style was not really to my taste, but the story seemed to be gripping enough as to keep me and my curiosity going. I found the characters to be well developed and I was very intrigues by this tale of deceptions and lies.
I found that the short chapters kept the reading pace at its best, creating suspense without being overwhelming.
I was not a big fan of the characters, but as I mentioned before,I do believe that they were super well developed and seemed so "real".
The ending was maybe a bit rushed up - i find that it happens quite a lot with thrillers. Writers tend to take their time in building up around the plot, creating characters and describing places, adding a few twists and the boom! All action and the end. I would have appreciated a little more balance.
