This is the second book I have read from Sam Blake, and i did not disappoint. The story is well written and the characters are really good. It is based in Ireland, and has many lovely attributes to the scenery. The book centres around a main family, the Howard family, the mum Cressida, Laurence the father who is a sucessful buisnessman, but with a ruthless streak. and their teenager daughter, Emily-Jane, who has a secret she is keeping from her parents. The story focuses on the mum, Cressida, who overhears a conversation with her husband Laurence, and she hires her friends sister to spy on him believing he is cheating on her, and she wants proof, so she can start divorce proceedings and get a good settlement, as she knows her husband will try and wriggle out of it. But the plot takes a different twist and Cressida wonders what she has got herself into.
