The synopsis of this sounded amazing - Cressida Howard phones her husband and hears another woman in the room before hanging up. She "hires" Brioni O'Brian to dig around his computer to see what she can find but before too long people surrounding her husband are becoming strangely ill and it's clear he's up to his neck in it.
I was expecting a vengeful mistress, indeed a proper bunny boiler, but ended up with a tale of business corruption, hit men/women and industrial espionage. Mixed up within this is Cressida's daughter, who seems to have some kind of secret internet life going on - completely unbeknownst to her parents.
To be honest I didn't overly care about any of the characters - without exception they just seemed a bit one dimensional and cold.
It was a decent enough read just not one that particularly pressed my buttons - but I was expecting some "Glenn Close" type mad woman so I guess anything would have felt as though it came up short......
