This was a great book, which started off giving the impression it would just be about a wronged wife, gathering information on her cheating husband which as a sub-plot was carried out well.

Although this is the starting point, the plot soon unravels to show there is a lot more to it. The story twists and turns, with lots of sub-plots introduced which all tied up more or less before the end.

Some of the sub-plots weren't entirely believable but I found that this didn't actually matter as it was a cracking story - just right for a cold, wet January.

I thought the characters were developed enough that you knew who the bad guys were and where the sympathies should lie, as well as a little doubt in the middle where you try to unravel what has happened.

I've not read anything else by this author before but I will certainly look out for her in the future.
