When I started reading this book, I didn't think it was for me. It started off a little bit slow and I did put it down for a bit, but once I got into the story I couldn't put it down. There's so many twists and new revelations that I wasn't expecting. The ending was amazing and I was so sad that it ended. I did think that there was going to be more at the end and I definitely see room for a sequel.
The modern writing style is not something that I would usually pick up and read however I'm glad that I stuck with it. Contemporary fiction isn't my style but after reading this I think that I will be picking up some more similar titles. I don't think that I'm into Covid and pandemic references as it brings me out of the story and into the real world too much.
I was immediately intrigued by the cover as it really depicted the mystery of the story and it definitely drew me into reading this.
