The opening pages of this extract sets quite a dark tone - like it is the kind of book that'll give you nightmares, but you'll read it anyway....! There are plenty of questions raised in the opening pages too, enough to keep you reading. I like the concept of starting at the crime and moving back and forward through time to piece together the story. I'd definitely read more...
