OMG THIS BOOK IS GIVING ME MAJOR TWIST ON PSYCHO VIBES AND I LOVE IT!!!
For someone who has got withdrawal symptoms from finishing all five seasons of Bates Motel this is a godsend!
First the book starts with the gruesome, horrifying murder of a lady alone in her holiday cottage with a completely creepy and dark feeling. I read this extract at night on my own; not many books manage to freak me out but I definitely had to check the dark corner of my room after being scared into imagining someone there!
The whole chapter was centred around the security camera in the cottage which seemingly nice hotel manager Andrew (who reminded me very much of seemingly nice early Norman Bates) used to spy on guests.
The introduction and switching between two characters left me with so many questions about the connections to the victim, to the manager and to the story.
I am a sucker for a murder mystery and the rewind, pause and play feature of this book adds an exciting new element to a good thriller!!
Release this terrifying and amazing book already so I can find out who the killer is!!!
