Having come across Catherine Ryan Howard when she published ' The Liars Girl' a book that I would recommend people read if they haven't done, although it is completely separate to Rewind, so not essential, I think she is very good at writing engaging crime novels and so I was looking forward to reading this book.

Rewind is a very different novel to the Liar's girl, written in sections and a format that I struggled with initially.
The story swaps between Natalie, a social media star who suspects her husband of cheating and travels in secret to a place called Shannamore in search of proof,

And a week or two down the line to Audrey, a beginner journalist investigating the circumstances of her disappearance.

Throw in various sketchy characters and a video purporting to show Natalie's last moments and this had all the makings of a good thriller.

Whilst I found the exact timeline a bit hard to follow through the switching of sections, each change in time is made abundantly clear and so avoided the pitfalls of multiple story-lines confusing the reader, and the story moved at a good pace.

There's a number of twists and sub-stories/mysteries within, and CRH did a good job of keeping me guessing and speculating until quite far into the novel, and also wrapped the story up in a satisfying way.

All in all another good read, but I think I preferred ' The Liars Girl' to 'Rewind'
