I am a huge fan of Crime Fiction and Thrillers and the clever use of Play, Pause and Rewind chapters to navigate through this story made it such a compelling and exciting page turner. You never know where the story will take you next and what character’s personality you will delve into.

All the characters in this book such as Andrew the Shanamore Holiday Cottages manager and Natalie the social media star are so well thought out with detailed back stories and descriptions that made you feel like you really know them even if you wished you didn’t after discovering more about what some of them get up to behind closed doors.

From the first few pages where a murder is caught on camera I was completely hooked. Who has been murdered? Who murdered them and why? and how did the murderer know their actions were being recorded by a hidden camera?

This is such at atmospheric read. It really gets you thinking about so many things like how much does what happens in our childhoods affect us as adults. It also works as a cautionary tale of our social media usage and how you can’t always judge people’s lives just from what they show us and how possibly oversharing can make you more vulnerable than you realise. It even touches on relationships and trust issues and also the small minded and judgemental opinions you often find in towns and villages where everyone knows everyone’s business.

This book is a creepy, intriguing psychological thriller and I’m so sad it’s now over. Definitely worth a rewind to read and enjoy it all over again.
