This was such an entertaining, fast-paced thriller - perfect if you want something that will immediately grab your attention and take you on a ride!

The story is told through a really interesting timeline where the author uses Play, Pause, Rewind and Fastforward to show the shift in time in the chapters. This took me a little while to get used to but once I did it worked really well. It definitely gives the feeling that you’re being thrown around in time to see small snippets of events that then come together at the end.

The cast of characters were mostly well done - for the fact it’s quite action based you do get enough insights into their pasts to flesh them out. The author was great at making their voices distinct enough to work with a timeline that changes constantly.

I thought the ending was solid, not mind-blowing but still well written. There’s not some crazy plot twist thrown in right at the end for shock value, rather a sinister revelation of events that you’ve been given small access to throughout the book.

I’ve never read this author before but I will definitely look out for her other books - I really enjoyed her writing style and plotting and would love to see what else she has to offer
