This is an amazing original thriller. It starts with a murder caught on camera. The time line then rewinds, fast forwards, plays and pauses to bring some fascinating characters into the story.
The motive, the plot, the twist are all really well thought out and reach a brilliant conclusion.
The author builds suspense incredibly well through the back stories and fractured time lines.
I haven’t read a suspense thriller in a while because they tend to bring too many sick and twisted events into the story for shock value.
This had just the right blend, not horrendously vile but just enough.
The isolated location in Ireland was the perfect backdrop for the story.
Best part of the book was how well written the characters were. Even the peripheral ones weren’t entirely flat.
Worst thing... I quite liked it all really, perhaps the cover wasn’t my favourite, but that’s about it.
A great page turner, thank you for introducing me to this author! I will read more of her work!
