Rewind is an interesting thriller. Set in Dublin and West Cork in Ireland – it revolves around Natalie who is a well-known “blogger” and style icon in Ireland. She leaves a message on her online account to say she needs a break and heads off to West Cork. But this is when the story starts to really grab you. She checks in at a remote holiday home and immediately all is not what is seems. The story goes back and forth to the reason why she is there and you are introduced to a number of seemingly shady characters. Meanwhile her husband waits almost a week before reporting her missing and we get to see the other side of the story. This book will keep you on your toes. The style of going back and forth can be a tad confusing but it is worth staying with it. The ending certainly has the feeling that there is more from the main character Natalie. This book touches on some distressing themes and I would like to see them explored in more detail if the author has part 2 of this up her sleeve. Would highly recommend – very pacy and you will not want to put it down as it reaches its climax.
