A murder mystery with such a clever twist which overall I really enjoyed despite its predictability. Now not to give anything away but the owner of the cottages Andrew gives very strong Norman Bates vibes which is why I think I enjoyed this novel, the overall creepiness had me hooked on this book.

I must say it did take me a while to connect with characters as the structure staggered the plot and character developed for me. However without the rewind, pause and fast forward this would have been an ordinary book. Once I got used to the structure it was a page turner for sure.

Finally I loved the setting it was very picturesque and I could vividly imagine it. As well as this though there was a subtle eariness emanating from the pages.
