The title, cover and description scream 'this is not the book for me' but actually I think if you can get past the style it's written in - conversational, full of slang - it's a story that might prove engaging. Right from the first sentence it immerses you in a different culture and social system and, underneath all the froth, might well raise serious questions about identity, stereotypes and racial attitudes.
