What an unusual and challenging book - the use of "Singlish" so reminds me of books like A Clockwork Orange and Trainspotting - books where your mind is stretched by the language at first, but you soon find yourself easing into the vernacular and lapping it up.
I can see from the get go that this is not going to be a book for everyone, but I am already intrigued, and I like to challenge myself with my reading choices occasionally!
