The cover is eye catching but in a gaudy way - not automatically a bad thing mind! - and reminiscent of my holidays in Thailand. Same same but different!

This story however is set in Singapore and written as though spoken (not dissimilar to The Colour Purple), and including slang and sounds native to the protagonist's country and culture. This makes it very authentic and like Jazzy is actually talking to you as you read.

The premise is set out very early on; late twenties Asian women on the search for white men - specifically - to marry. This could be a recipe for humour, disaster and success - I would hazard a guess that all of the above is most likely!

Not my usual storyline of choice so am unsure but hopeful, always open to new ideas.
