I was really looking forward to this book. After reading the synopsis I was desperate to get my hands on a copy and continue reading on from the small extract on here. Unfortunately this book wasn't for me at all and I failed to enjoy it.
A terrible cover can usually turn me away from a book and put me off reading it but even though I disliked the cover of Sarong Party Girls I still wanted to give it a go. I should have stuck with my impression of the cover and not bothered entering the prize draw. I found the book to be very hard to read, it felt like far too much of an effort. I couldn't lose myself in the story at all.
It is a huge shame as I was excited to read this book, but hopefully I will be able to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it.
