I have to admit I had such high hopes for this book. It was a new genre for me and I'm always open to new genres.
However pretty early on I knew that this wasn't the story for me. The language and style of writing wasn't bad (in fact it was very humorous and witty), it was the content of the story.
I didn't find this story particularly empowering (however I must admit that I didn't finish the book so I could have missed the power ending).
In a book market which is filled with very strong female characters that don't define themselves as successful unless they have a man and child leave this sticking out a bit like a sore thumb.
