I thought that this book, written in Singlish, was shiok! (great / cool!)

At first I thought that I would struggle with the Singlish but many words are easily interpreted from their context, and I only had to look one or two up.

Singlish is quite a cute, quirky language, which juxtaposes rather effectively with the grubby, seedy world that Jazzy and her friends find themselves in. It's just in the nightclubs either - the world of work is just the same.

They're all trying to find an ang moh (Western expat) husband but, in their late twenties, they're classed as 'over the hill' in Singapore.

I couldn't decide whether to hate Jazzy or to feel sorry for her. I found the ending a little bit rushed, but otherwise a great read!
