My first impressions of the book is that it is very mysterious, with Lina's character and her first initial reaction towards her situation within losing her eyesight. I almost felt that Lina's character accepted that losing her eyesight was partially her fault. Her relationships with her friends and I presume, boyfriend, seem odd and strange and Lina seems like a character who tries to keep her problems to herself - a typical teenager.

The cover of the book is eye-catching (pardon the pun), and I feel that it suits the description of the novel wonderfully.

I am intrigued to see how Lina deals with losing her eyesight and how her relationships progress/ regress. I wonder if she struggles, or embraces the loss of her eyesight, relying on her use of touch to indulge in life.

The writing style of the novel did confuse me slightly, what with the chapters not seeming to be written coherently and in order. I found it fascinating the way it was written, what with the language and subheadings; it was very beautiful.
