I did like this First Look but I know that I wouldn't enjoy reading the whole book, although I'd probably enjoy it as TV show I think. I simply don't enjoy Westerns, whether traditional or set in space or in fantasy, and that's almost certainly what this book is. Shadowblack himself is an interesting character and his sidekicks were too but I think I'd probably find the whole book a little too much and lose interest.
The cover is striking and very appropriate for the novel. I'd definitely pick it up and read the blurb if I saw it.
