Sebastien de Castell brings this story alive with his talent for description. I felt the first few pages set a good basis for the rest of the book providing the reader with a good understanding of what the book is all about, even for someone who hasn't read the first book. Overall this book feels well thought out and a shapes up to be a great read for fans of fantasy and of course the SPELLSLINGER series.
