Although I had not read the first book before this it was the front cover and how the blurb sounded to me that I decided to have a go at reading this book. This book stood out from all the other books with a front cover that screamed at me about murder, card games, and involving lots of running away from people. The way that the blurb was written caught my interest and proceeded to read forward and with how the book started with a thieving gone wrong. I loved the dynamic of how the writing style gave me a chance to create the bigger picture without too may details getting in the way of the general story plot of it all. Watching the two characters grow I connected to them in different ways and I love to see the two of the together more of often.
