This second book was not quite as good as the first but I still really enjoyed it. I love the world and the characters as they are very unique and so much fun! Kellen is the most relatable character ever and I just love that. He acts like a 16 year old boy would and he isn't some really powerful character and mostly gets in a lot of sticky situations that he doesn't get out of without help. We see him trying to find where he belongs in the world and falling in love in this book.
I love that we see more of the world in this one and meet some interesting new characters. I really liked the plot and we are starting to see what the big plot of the series might be and the start of some politics which I really enjoy. There is still a lot of tricks, bluffing and cons in this book and that is always really fun! Overall a great second book in the series and I'm excited to read the rest of the series
