Wow, not at all what I was expecting from this book at all. Having read the blurb at the back, I had a general idea what it was going to be about, but I didn't anticipate that I would be drawn in so much.
Amy wrote about a difficult subject, but executed really well. Having read the interview at the end of the book, I understand now where the ideas came from, and how well researched the characters and plot was done. The book was based partly on a real case, and partly from Amy's own personal life, it makes you think about what you see and read much more carefully. I don't want to give too much away, but ultimately it was a brilliant first novel, and I will do definitely be looking out for more books by Amy.
