I love how the book initially focuses on the present, giving you an outline of what's happened and what the book will be about, and to then go back in time and start the lead up on the incident. It's written in a easy and understandably way, you can easily follow the plot and know exactly what's going on. The characters seem realistic and the main character seems relatable to most people, a struggling mother who has gone through someone most people can only imagine, whose had to deal with the hard opinions and scrutiny of the press whilst coming to terms with the incident in her own way. But ending the present at a critical point and then going back in time to the lead up of the incident, it makes me want to read on and learn more about what's happened to Samantha.
