The way the chapters are set in past tense and present tense is interesting. starting in the present it introduces Caroline and you immediately warm to her, the skipping to the past and introducing characters you don't hear from for a lot of the book keeps you interested as to their point in the story. The ending was slightly predictable however still enjoyable!
It is a very easy story to follow, however it is quite a short story, it could have benefited form being slightly longer in the middle section .Drawing obvious parallels to real life stories it keeps the novel current. I would say this is a must holiday read for anyone who doesn't want to concentrate too much but still read an entertaining story.
