This book had me up all night reading! Is she, or is she not Caroline's daughter, Samantha?
The unravelling of the story line is written perfectly. I found myself guessing all kinds of scenarios (but not the real truth) all the way through.
The relationships between the grandmother, daughter and granddaughter made the book for me. The type of intense hard spoken grandmother with black and white views, was easy to identify with in my own life. The way her views then affected the next generations was superbly written.
I was gripped with these characters and their marriages, relationships and jealousies, whilst on the edge of my seat as we were taken back to the night of Samantha's disapearance, trying to decipher how it could have happened.
Amazing book, and I intend to read more by Joy Fielding as I think the book was perfect.
