What a marvelous story! This book is about a family who goes on vacation in Mexico to celebrate their anniversary, only to discover that their daughter is missing after their anniversary dinner.
Even though there are several central characters in this book, Caroline is the protagonist, for me. The story revolves around her and I was rooting for her from the very first page. The difficulties she faced in her marriage to Hunter, followed bytthe most awful thing that can happen to a parent;to lose a child. Her life has been nothing but difficult from that moment, taking more and more blows both professionally and personally. What a main character!
This is not just a thriller about a child abduction, it's what comes after that sucks you into the story. I am so happy to have read this book and I'm definitely going to read Fielding again!
