I’ve been umming and ahhing over how to word this review, so I’m just going to go for it.
I really wanted to enjoy this book. Whilst the book was well written, I just didn’t connect to the story. I felt like the story could have been somewhat shorter.
As I said above, the book was well written but for me, it just didn’t work all that well. I didn’t really connect with the characters either. I don’t know whether this is because it was a step out of my comfort zone or whether other readers thought the same thing. I think if I had connected to the characters at least, then I may have enjoyed the book more than I did.
If you enjoy a well written book, then I can recommend this book but, If like me, you like to feel connected to the story, then this book probably isn’t for you.
