After a great start to the Shiver Point books with It Came From The Woods, Gabriel Dylan returns with the Shiver Squad in A Tap On The Window. This great series of adventure stories for older children reunites readers with the members of the Shiver Squad, Alex, Riley, Sophia, Oli and Mo. After saving the town in the first book, Shiver Point is once again under threat and the Shiver Squad get involved to save the day. It starts when Riley hears screams coming from the woods across from her house. At the time she is working in her treehouse on her latest invention which will play a crucial part in their quest. She looks out using her specially adapted binoculars and sees Bethany Blight and her friends running from Darkhaven Farm which was abandoned many years before. Later she notices a scarecrow in the field that she hasn't noticed before. It's really spooky looking and seems to be looking right at her. As the story progresses, starting with a break in at the local newspaper, the Shiver Squad investigate and set out to solve the mystery and save the town. Great scary story for youngsters and thoroughly enjoyable read for all ages.
