I have just finished Shiver Point - A Tap At The Window by Gabriel Dylan. I was lucky enough to read the previous book in this series Shiver Point - It Came From The Woods so I was already familiar with the main characters and the setting of the town of Shiver Point. As before I loved the locations of Howlmoor Forest, Darkraven Farm and Shiver Cove Beach!

This time the Shiver Squad help Riley with a scary scarecrow issue stemming originally from 1999 that is re-emerges in the town. I found this book to be scarier (not overly so as this is aimed at an older child/young adult readership) than the previous one and actually more enjoyable. Whilst fun, light and entertaining the book touches on the theme of young carers as Riley tries her best to look after her grandad.

A great second book in the series of which I am sure there will be more scary adventures for the squad.
