First impressions were let my grandson read it so I did let him.I read it after and it was like a pour it whodunnit for kids. It was about a sleepy town where nothing happens until of course it did. There were many twists and turns and the likelihood of anything exciting happening was that it would. Good chapters well written with the obvious happy ending. A good book fir a cold winters afternoon and plenty of twists and turns ideal for the younger reader. I did like it reminded me of the famous five Enid blyton books but more up to date. I liked the poetic licence of the grim and the what might happen. The young characters played it well and it was descriptive and full of twists and turns. Have a read buy it for Halloween or Christmas and I don’t think you will be disappointed. A young teenage book with lots going on and many a twist and turn lovely book.
