Shiver point is one of the funnest children’s/ middle grade book I have read in a while. It follows a group of kids who see a meteorite crash into the town that sets into motion a series of spooky events like questionable slimy black footprints everywhere and something mysterious awaits them in the woods.
And I absolutely loved every second of it. I’ve just been having so much fun lately reading children’s books to give me a break from the heavy classics and literary books I’ve been reading. And this was perfect just for that break. I loved following the main character Alex as him and his new friends try to discover this new mystery and mysterious creature in town. I really like mystery stories that surround a group of kids/ teens to see how their friendships develop and change. I liked the backdrop of this small town. And I want to read more stories in this series and by this author.
