This book was more spooky than I thought it would be for a teen book - I liked it! The setting is so perfect for autumn/ Halloween time - Small town where nothing really happens.
The characters are all well developed for such a short story and they all likeable in their own way. I didn’t struggle to differentiate between them at all, considering there are quite a few introduced in a small amount of time.
The storyline was easy to follow and quite gripping for a story aimed at younger people. I was expected it to be a basic story with a simple, easy plot but it was much more than that! The plot was well thought out and had quite a bit of depth.
Overall I really liked this book and would recommend to older children/ tweens who enjoy a ‘spooky’ read! I just wish the book was a bit longer so we could have more information about where the slugs originated and their back story.
