I liked the cover and reading the blurb made me want to read it to see if it was a book I could leave at work for the young people whom attend. I will take it and leave but I found that there were some long words that I am u sure whether the children reading it would understand but hopefully they would have close adults whom would be able to help or encourage them to look these words up in a dictionary to get their meanings. I really like the fact that this mismatched group of children came from different religions, cultures and different family set ups and there was no issues relating to this in the story.
I feel that descriptions of the slime could have been more descriptive to get a young child’s imagination going and encourage them to turn this book into more talking topics.
Don’t know what age this book is aimed at as the characters were 12 - not sure if it would be better for those ages 13 upwards
