Shiver Point is the most boring place on Earth according to Alex.
Nothing happens, nothing exciting and life seems so dull after having to move there with his mother for her job and having to leave his old school and friends behind.
Then one night a meteorite lands in the Creepy Howlsmoor forest.
Now Shiver Point is really having a shake up.
With the meteorite an evil body snatcher has arrived with his squad of demonic, black slugs.
Their mission, to eat the local children and enslave the adults.
But Alex and some other kids, Mo, Riley, Oli and Sophia have found out their dastardly plan and are determined to save Shiver point town, its inhabitants and even humanity from being sucked into oblivion.
But with a local town meeting being called this is a buffet for the evil slugs so the kids have to work fast before everyone becomes lunch.
Can they do it in time?
This was such fun and very reminiscent of the great kids novels and cartoons of yesteryear.
