YA Excellent
So this book is based around a suspected alien invasion witnessed by a group of secondary school kids aged 12.
They see a meteor come down in the local woods and all separately go to investigate. They are not friends. But do know each other from school.
I enjoyed the different characters and how they represented different parts of society. I liked how they were reluctant to be friends at the beginning and all had pre-conceived ideas about who they were.
It was so well written even as ab adult I wanted to turn the page and see what happened next. The scene setting was excellent and I could hear the horrible noises and smell the horrible smells.
Throughly enjoyed this one and I will be passing it on to my daughters to read as soon as possible. It was so well written it even freaked me out a little towards the end.
Glad it was a good ending and that everyone is safe. Go the shiver squad!
