Silent Scream is a brilliant start to this fantastic series that just gets better and better.
In this first book we are introduced to DI Kim Stone and her team whilst investigating the murder of a headmistress and the discovery of human remains at a children's home.
Marsons writing style is flawless, cleverly plotted out narrative with a badass female protagonist. I really enjoyed the short snappy chapters that call on the reader to read 'just one more chapter' and before you know it you've read the book in one sitting. The pace of the narrative is relentless, it grips the reader right from the start and doesn't let go until the very end. It has so many layers that kept me guessing throughout the very enjoyable plot.
