I actually didn't realise when I started this that it was Angela Marson's debut novel and I find that hard to believe as this is so wonderfully written! This is the first book in the D.I Stone series, a very popular crime series, which I have been meaning to start for such a long time and i'm so glad I finally did.
This book begins when the headmistress of a school is found drowned in her bathtub, not long after this another body is found and it's not long until D.I Stone and her team discover that these two were once employees at a now abandoned children's home.
I was enthralled with this book immediately, I found it near impossible to put back down once I had picked it up. I can't wait to see what else is to come from this fantastic series.
