This is a great first book in what should be a fantastic new series. Well written, good plot and plenty twists to keep the reader interested. I loved the character of DI Kim Stone, pushy and stubborn. She has had a hard upbringing in a care home. She is one of my favourite crime ladies now! The action begins in the first chapter and just keeps on giving. The plot was quite complex and I really had to concentrate when reading but it was worth it! It makes for uncomfortable reading at times but is also quite sensitively written. I loved the ending also.I would highly recommend this book to lovers of the crime and thriller genres. You will not be disappointed. Looking forward to book 2 in the series.
