The book took a little while to build up steam but was soon gripping onwards until the end a few chapters in.
Kim is a typical female detective with relationship issues and a fractured childhood that creates a colourful character with somewhere to develop in further novels the author is bound to continue. An enjoyable read for crime and thriller readers.
