The opening line of the first chapter had me instantly hooked: "If you're reading this then I am no longer alive". Anna, the author of the letter lists 7 people within, who she suspects of killing her. She advises the reader to speak to her ex boyfriend Alex about what happened in London as that's where everything started. We also learn that she is acting manager of the Bay View Hotel and in her 'PS' mentions she is sorry for what happened to David. But who is David?
Rewind to three months earlier and we find Anna driving herself and 3 colleagues back from a team building weekend. However on the way home a horrific car accident happens and Anna wakes up in hospital to learn that only one of her 3 colleagues is alive.
In such a short amount of time I have become really invested in Anna. I cannot wait to find out what happens next and how she goes from working in digital marketing to being the acting manager of a hotel and also how it seems, dead.
