I’ve not read any C L Taylor books before and if I’m honest I haven’t recently read much crime fiction... but this has convinced me to read some more! I read this really quickly as I just wanted to find out what happened...
A great page turner which drops subtle hints throughout without being predictable.
I felt that the main character could have been a little better developed and the plot became a little disjointed in places. However, on the whole an easy read.
The story is written mainly from the perspective of the protagonist as we follow her from London to Rum. However, the story is also pieced together using the accounts of different people to add extra clues and viewpoints. This is very cleverly done and allows us to try to draw our own conclusions on ‘who dunnit’ using the snippets of information that we are given.
Full of suspense and tension- would definitely recommend!!
